FOUNDER

Graeme Leach

Global4cast was founded by Graeme Leach, one of Britain’s leading economists and a member of the IEA Shadow Monetary Policy Committee (SMPC).

Graeme is a former chief economist and director of policy at the Institute of Directors (IoD), whom he represented in economic discussions with the Chancellor of the Exchequer and 10 Downing Street.​

In 2025 Graeme was an expert witness in two High Court cases against HM Treasury and the Chancellor of the Exchequer.

Previously, Graeme has worked as director of economics at the Legatum Institute, where he was responsible for research on the sources of economic prosperity across the globe.

Earlier in his career he worked as chief UK economist and chief international economist at the Henley Centre for Forecasting, and as economic adviser to the Scottish Provident Investment Group.

Graeme is visiting professor of economic policy at the University of Lincoln, and has also lectured on the masters degree at Cardiff Business School.
